About jddurbin

J.D. Durbin is one of the top pitching prospects in the Minnesota Twins system. A second-round draft choice in 2000, the right-hander stands a mere 6ft 208lbs. Critics say he is better suited for the bullpen, but Durbin believes otherwise.

He is now starting for Triple-A Rochester after making his big league debut last September. He was selected to participated in the 2003 Futures Game during MLB All-Star Week. Durbin was also one of a select few chosen to represent the U.S. in the 2003 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Panama.

For his career in the minors entering the 2005 season, the Scottsdale, Ariz. native has gone 38-14 with a 3.06 ERA and 436 strikeouts in 478 2/3 innings pitched.

J.D. wears No. 31 and hopes you’ll look for that number at a ballpark near you. Durbin also hopes you’ll look on this page regularly and create your own MLBlog with a Twins skin to talk baseball year-round.

Interests

I would have to say I am a huge fan of cars, golf, and music. My favorite movie is “For Love of The Game,” it is a perfect portrayal of the life of a baseball player.
